Spring 2021 Pre-Professional Program

Vocal Technique Across Genres and EVC Concert Choir
VOCAL TECHNIQUE ACROSS GENRES​
This is a class for young singers interested in developing their vocal technique in multiple styles of music, including classical, musical theater, and R&B/pop. 

Appropriate for: 
  • Students preparing auditions for specialized performing arts high schools
  • Pre-college students considering pursuing vocal performance 
  • Choir singers, voice students, musical theater performers, and songwriters who want to improve their vocal technique

 Topics include:
  • Posture and breathing, registration, diction
  • Maintaining your vocal health
  • Expressivity and storytelling through singing
  • Developing your unique style
  • Performing and auditioning​

Course includes:
  • 10 one-hour group sessions
  • 2 private sessions for each student

​Taught by Natalie Fabian

​Wednesdays 6:30-7:30 pm

Natalie Fabian is a music educator, soprano, pianist, and composer/arranger across varied musical styles. Natalie received her undergraduate degree in Music Education from Hofstra University and holds a Masters of Arts in Music & Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She has performed as a vocal soloist on the New York stages of Birdland, The Metropolitan Room, and Rockwood Music Hall. Her choral arrangements and original compositions were featured at Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center, Broadway Presbyterian Church, the Miller Theatre at Columbia University, and Milbank Chapel at Columbia University. Currently, Natalie is an Adjunct Instructor at Hofstra University, directing the Vocal Jazz 20 Choir. In addition, she holds a studio in private voice, piano, and composition study for students of all ages and directs the Every Voice Youth Choir. www.nataliefabian.com

EVERY VOICE CONCERT CHOIR

​An auditioned choir for young singers who seek rigorous choral training and the opportunity to perform in collaboration with international artists and ensembles. EVC Concert Choir has performed at Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, CitiField, and other exciting NYC venues.

Virtual Instruction
All Spring 2021 rehearsals will be conducted online through Zoom. 

Tuition Fees
Tuition for EVC's Pre-Professional Classes will be based on a sliding scale.
There is a nonrefundable $40 registration fee. Need-based scholarships are available.
