EVC VoiceAbility
Accessibility - Community - Confidence - Discovery - Connection
EVC VoiceAbility is designed for special learners ages 8-12 who thrive in a supportive learning environment with a high adult-student ratio. Classes will be structured to allow for children to explore their voices in a setting sensitive to their individual needs and social, emotional, physical and/or intellectual challenges. Members of VoiceAbility will also have the opportunity to work with peer mentors from the EVC youth choirs.
Saturdays from 10:10 — 11:00am
Rehearsals will be online in Spring 2021.
Tuition is $400 for one semester plus $40 registration fee.

Sarah Perry, EdD, MT-BC, is adjunct Assistant Professor of Music and Music education at Columbia University Teachers College and The Conservatory of Music, Brooklyn College and is also a Lecturer at Purdue University. She teaches applied lessons in guitar and cello as well as courses focused on music in special education settings, inclusiveness in the arts, arts integration and psychology of music. Dr. Perry received her doctorate from Columbia University Teachers College, focusing her work on the musical engagement of children with sensory processing disorder. In addition to university teaching, Dr. Perry is founder and choral director of the Children’s Choir of Bayonne, NJ and consults and leads workshops on inclusion in the arts in New York City for The Harmony Program, Juilliard Global K-12 Teaching Artists, The Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall, The New York Philharmonic School Partnership Program, Midori and Friends, and the Piano Teachers Congress of New York.
