In our ensemble for youth ages 11-17, students are trained in healthy vocal technique as they learn a diverse array of repertoire in multiple genres and work collaboratively to write their own songs.
The Youth Choir performs in both EVC Community Concerts (Halloween, Winter Holidays, MLK Day, and Earth Day) and EVC's formal spring concert at Merkin Hall. All EVC performances designed to be joyful experiences that promote the growth and confidence of our young singers and musicians.
There is no vocal audition required to join the Youth Choir; we require only a firm commitment to full participation in all rehearsals and performances. Students who are not able to meet expectations for participation may be dismissed from the choir.
EVC Youth Choir rehearses weekly on Thursdays 5:10-6:10 pm at The Riverside Church (W 120th St/Claremont Ave).
